Ag/AgCl reference electrodes, also known as silver/silver chloride reference electrodes, are widely used in electrochemistry to provide a stable reference potential. TrueRef Systems offers miniature 1.5 mm reference electrodes with 3 M KCl for laboratory and small-volume electrochemical setups. Designed for durability, stability, and ease of use, they are well-suited for electrochemical experiments in laboratory setups - especially where space is limited. Their main benefits include:
Small dimensions (OD 1.5 mm) making them ideal for microfluidic and confined experimental setups.
Durability and flexibility, ensuring reliable operation even under demanding conditions.
Low resistance and stable potential, providing accurate and reproducible electrochemical measurements.

As the core reference element, we use a high-quality silver wire coated with a uniform AgCl layer, immersed in 3 M KCl solution. The measuring tip of each electrode is made from high-quality, chemically resistant PTFE, providing excellent durability and stability in demanding electrochemical environments. A flexible copper cable provides reliable conductivity and ease of use, while the plastic handle and 2 mm pin ensure a secure grip and connection.
